Semua bermula ketika tahun 2015, dimana ia memilki kesempatan untuk berbicara dengan seorang gelandangan. Mereka saling bertukar cerita dan sang gelandangan pun berkata "Buat makan pun susah, apalagi saya harus mengurusi penampilan saya yang lusuh. Rambut saya saja sudah tidak pernah terpotong hampir 2 tahun"

Dari situlah hati Joshua tergerak "Ijinkan saya memotong rambutmu gratis tanpa biaya!"

"Saya memang tidak bisa membantu banyak hal untuk hidup mereka, tapi dengan saya memotong rambutnya, saya harap bisa memberikan sedikit perubahan"

Joshua bekerja sama dengan fotografer Matt Spracklen untuk membantunya mendokumentasikan hasil foto 'before & after' para gelandangan. Dia juga menggunakan hastag yang cukup menarik yakni #DoSomethingForNothing untuk setiap kebaikan yang ia lakukan

Joshua mengatakan dengan memotong rambut mereka, ia dapat memahami kehidupan dan situasi para gelandangan di London. Dia juga ingin jadi sosok sahabat dan pendengar bagi pergumulan mereka.

Ia menambahkan "masyarakat umumnya memiliki banyak prasangka buruk terhadap orang-orang jalanan. Mereka berpikir bahwa para gelandangan adalah orang yang mengkonsumsi narkoba, alkohol, atau terlibat dengan kejahatan yang ada. Namun setiap orang memiliki ceritanya masing-masing. Mereka berbeda dengan yang kita pikirkan!"

Jadi setiap minggunya Joshua berkeliling ke setiap sudut kota London sambil membawa alat-alat rambutnya, hanya untuk memberikan potongan rambut gratis. 

"Saya harap dengan tindakan kecil saya dapat memulihkan hati mereka, terutama harga diri mereka!"
